I also like that you can choose between a black feeder or a white feeder meaning that you can match it to your home decor. I’ve seen some pet feeders that serve as nothing more than an eyesore so I thought this was a nice touch.
As far as automatic cat feeders go, the WellToBe automatic cat feeder is mostly easy to use. I’d certainly say that the app controlled versions are much more user friendly but once you wrap your head around the control panel, you’ll find that operating the WellToBe automatic cat feeder comes as second nature.

It is worth pointing out that the app controlled models are a little more expensive by around £15 but I’d say it was worth it as the app just makes the feeder so much easier to use.

This app isn’t as advanced as some feeder apps I have seen but it gives you more than enough control for those long days at work and the occasional weekend away. From within the app you can program meal times and sizes as well as recording an audio message to call your cat for their meal. There’s also information on your feeder which you can access through the main menu.
One of the things I did notice is that you need to have a 2.4GHz WiFi connection in order to connect the device to the app. I have seen other feeders that can also connect with a 5GHz connection so I was a little disappointed that this wasn’t an option.

I found the WellToBe automatic cat feeder relatively easy to set up. It doesn’t come with a whole lot of pieces to fit together and all of the components slot in with ease so the process doesn’t take a long time.
What’s more, the WellToBe automatic cat feeder comes with an easy to understand user guide so you’ve got all of the instructions you need.
Once the feeder is constructed, it’s then merely a matter of filling it up. However, after this, things can get a little complicated which I felt really let the WellToBe automatic cat feeder down. The instructions in the user manual on programming the feeder using the control panel were not overly clear. Moreover, there is very little information online on how to do this. Of course, there are two versions of the WellToBe automatic cat feeder that are app controlled which makes things a lot more simple.
When using the control panel, firstly, you need to long press the clock button and then use the hour and minute buttons to set the desired feeding time. You then need to press the meal button to program your meals, of which you can set up to six every day. However, what I did notice was that you cannot program meals without recording an audio which can be done by pressing on the microphone button.
If you’re using one of the WellToBe automatic cat feeders with app control then you only have to log in and add your device to the app. You’ll then have full control over programming.
